The Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC) Work Study Program provides job opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students regardless of financial need. The program encourages community service work as well as work related to courses of study. It also includes on-campus administrative positions available from a variety of school departments.
Hourly Wage and Scheduled Hours
The hourly wage for Federal Work Study positions is the same hourly rate as the current Massachusetts minimum wage. Effective 1/1/2023 the minimum hourly wage is 15.00. On campus positions pay a slightly higher wage rate due to travel expenses that may be incurred by the student.
Your supervisor may schedule your work study position for up to 15 hours of work per week. Advise your supervisor of your availability based on other obligations and academic requirements. The total maximum hours a student may work on campus is 20 hours. Over 15 hours per week on campus requires supervisor approval in advance.
